Pastor Kham Khai was born in Myanmar. He studied at Oral Roberts University and graduated in 1999 with a Master of Divinity as well as a Doctorate of Ministry in 2007.

He served in Myanmar for over ten years in ministry. During that time, he published a monthly Christian newsletter which began in 1989 and a secular magazine which began in 1994.

He started Myanmar Christian Church on October 7, 1997 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also, he has remained committed to the country of Myanmar with a Bible school called Southeast Asia Bible College which was started in 2004, an orphanage, and an annual ministers’ conference. He has gone back to Myanmar every year since 2004 for the Bible school’s commencement service and the annual ministers’ conference. During the Cyclone Nargis in 2008, he was involved in the relief work in Yangon and the Delta regions.

He married to his wife, Mary, in 1998 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He and Mary now have two sons, Samuel and Jonathan and they all reside in Jenks, Oklahoma.
