Ministries

Chidrens’s ministry – Childrens & kids only

Children ministry is a ministry to reach the churched and un-churched children of the Burmese community. This ministry will bring the Good news to these children and guide them into faith and Christlikeness lifestyle.

Under this children ministry, Sunday school is included as a part of this ministry. Every Sunday, the Sunday school teachers teach them the word of God, prayer, and worship. Each Sunday, the teachers celebrate the current birthdays of these children. Syama Hau Khan Cing @ Cingseuh is the coordinator for the children’s ministry.

Women’s Ministry (Ruby Myanmar Fellowship)

The women’s ministry of Myanmar Christian Church is also called Ruby Myanmar Fellowship. This ministry meets every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. These women pray and worship together. The purpose of this ministry is to strengthen the women in the church in their relationship with God and between each other.

In this ministry, each woman has a saving box for the support of the Bible College in Myanmar. That money from the box is collected twice a year. Other than the saving box, each woman collects a handful of rice each Sunday for the support of missions. Later, someone purchases the rice and that money is donated to missions.

Men ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to strengthen men in the church with the word of God and to become a godly man in the family and in the business world. They meet twice a month.

There are over 50 men involved in this men’s ministry. One of the goals of the men’s ministry was to raise funds to purchase a passenger van and now, MCC owns a 15 passenger van. Another goal is to buy a truck and lawn mower for the church campus.

Music ministry

The purpose of the music ministry is to enthusiastically praise and worship God. All the participants in the music ministry must have a right relationship with God and also must have a desire to praise and worship God no matter what circumstances they face.

Youth ministry

MCC Youth Ministry meets on every Saturday at 6 p.m. The youth group meets at the church to study, worship and praise God together. This youth ministry is reaching other un-churched young people and bringing them into the church. The membership is about 80 young people.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer ministry is vital for the church. Prayer teams meet every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. They pray for the pastor, church members, building project, missions and the nations. The main focus is that individuals and nations will have peace.

Often times, the prayer groups pray for the lost, sick and needy including those who are in need of employment. This prayer ministry is led by Thawng Do Kham.

God has indeed answered our prayers. In the last four years, three families have been praying for a child and now, these families are with child. Also, there are three children who have had some serious medical complications. One child was born pre-mature and the other two children according to the doctor did not breathe upon birth. Now, all these three children have been miraculously healed and are doing well.

If you have any prayer requests, please send them to info@mcctulsa.com

Generation Connection

This is the group of young people who worship the Lord in the English language every first Saturday of the month. It is also called GenCon. This group is the outcome of VBBI, Summer 2013. In this group, these young people come from different denominational backgrounds. GenCon primarily focuses on the ages of 12 to 18 and secondary focus is on the ages between 18 to 21 who are more capable in speaking English rather than our own language.

In GenCon, Samuel Khai is the coordinator for this group.
